A brand like Apple, with it’s worlwide sensation “iPhone” has not just charmed the consumers with the design, technology or user-interface but has striked some chord in their consumers’ brains as well. Whenever a new model of the phone is launched, there are queues of people outside the store. Why do you think that is? It is widely due to a behaviour called “self-signaling”, implying owning an iPhone could signal who we are to the people around us or how we want them to perceive how we are.
