Destination Guide: Miami

Welcome to Miami. Set on Florida’s south-eastern tip this metropolitan mecca for sun-worshipers is home to beautiful beaches, year-round sunshine and a lively nightlife. As with most east coast cities, the diverse population has helped fuse together a profusion of creativity making Miami a must-visit destination for all travel enthusiasts, whether you are there for the big city lights or quieter pursuits.

Red, White and Teal

The tropical climate of Miami exposes you to short warm winters and red-hot summers making outdoor activities enticing all year-round. Thankfully, the world-famous Miami beach and gorgeous State Parks make all this possible even with the imposing sky-rise of Downton Miami a stone’s throw away. So even with a steel and glass jungle at your back, you can relax with your feet on white sandy beaches and eyes on calm teal waters. This utopian vista is the perfect backdrop for everything from high energy water sports to serene sunset strolls.

Away from the attractive beaches you can enjoy some stunning walking trails in Oleta River State Park and spot colourful birds at a scattering of tropical gardens across the city.

Miami at Night

You come for the sunshine and stay for the moonlight. By night this city is transformed as the bright, white-hot skyline gives way to a glittering and magical mirage. So, from the glitzy nightclubs of South Beach to the rooftop bars and backyard bars of the city, you can be sure to find a great night out in Miami.

Again, the diversity of the city plays its part and you’ll be able to choose between the gaudy scenes of big blingy clubland venues and more romantic salsa-filled dance halls and candlelit lounges. Whichever route you go down you can be sure to chase a great day soaking up the sun with an even greater night!
